Off Grid is an ode to those who seek to escape the chaos, immerse themselves in exploration, and express themselves in nature. To us, Off Grid is a journey where the destination is not a place on the map but a state of mind; that feeling of being overwhelmed by the unadulterated beauty of what surrounds you. It’s about those moments we disconnect to reconnect.
To us, Off Grid is a journey where the destination is not a place on the map but a state of mind. A place where the pulse of life slows down to a near standstill, and everything that’s flooding your senses becomes a boon. Off Grid is the place where memories are made.
Off Grid is a testament to the art of exploration, and to that feeling of being overwhelmed by the unadulterated beauty of what surrounds you. It’s about those moments we disconnect to reconnect.
Welcome, to Off Grid.
By Obermeyer.
Designed with the explorer in mind from day one.
From the beginning of Off Grid project, Obermeyer set out to design a freeride line of outerwear for fearless big-mountain skiers and pow-chasing riders. Off Grid is tailored to chargers who thrive inbounds spinning hot laps or in the backcountry on the skintrack. Long days. Big mountains. Unforgettable moments.
We worked directly with Obermeyer team pro Colter Hinchliffe to focus this collection on the needs of the adventurer. You can see Colter wearing Off Grid in "Beyond the Fantasy," a new film by Teton Gravity Research.

Introducing Blue Thread™
Our one planet’s oceans are overrun with waste. As Obermeyer continues to evolve its decades-long commitment to the planet, we turn our material science focus to how we could harness this in the making of new best-in-class materials.
Introducing Blue Thread™! Blue Thread™ is an eco-friendly nylon yarn produced using discarded material from the fishing industry, like fishing nets and oyster rope. This provides up to a 49% reduction in carbon footprint compared to virgin nylon products.
The Off Grid Systems
The Steibis System provides 30K waterproof and breathability ratings, and is made with Obermeyer's new Blue Thread™ recycled ocean waste material. Feature packed performance outerwear designed for the explorer.
The Oberreute System is engineered with Obermeyr’s 2-Layer Blue Thread™ material, which is crafted from recycled ocean waste. And this insulated system’s warmth is provided by Primaloft® 100% Polyester Gold Pure 40gm insulation.
Technical layering and casual wear pieces built for exploration that doesn't necessarily call for planks. Featuring Allied Feather + Down fully-trackable insulation, and Polartec® fleece.
