Meet the Artist: Nessa Dziemian
Originally from New Hampshire, Nessa grew up skiing in Obermeyer gear and chasing her dreams on snow-covered slopes. She went on to compete on the U.S. Ski Team for 11 years before stepping into a coaching role at the 2022 Olympic Games.
After years of competing, Nessa found a new way to express her love for the alpine world, through art. Now based in Vancouver, British Columbia, she’s pursuing her studies at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, where she draws inspiration from the mountains and the communities that call them home.
A Creative Journey Inspired by the Outdoors
Through her illustrations, Nessa tells stories about the mountain world she knows best, stories of joy, movement, and the shared wonder of winter. Her art blends a lifetime of experience on the slopes with a deep appreciation for nature’s beauty and the camaraderie found in skiing.
Her exclusive Obermeyer print, “Daffy-Dayz,” in both red and pink, brings that spirit to life in our Kids’ Collection, featuring cheerful polar bears on skis and celebrating the pure fun of snowy adventures. The design is both nostalgic and fresh, a reminder that the best days on the mountain are the ones filled with laughter.
