For over 75 years, Obermeyer has been making ski and snowboard gear built for real mountain conditions, and built to last.

Jackets Built for How Teen Boys Actually Ride

Teen boys don't just cruise groomers. They're testing new lines, hitting features, and need gear that can actually keep up. The Gage Jacket, Fleet Jacket, Axel Jacket, Ryder Jacket, and Mach 15 Jacket give you options built around that.

We sized and constructed each jacket specifically for the teen frame, accounting for the in-between stage that kids' and adult fits both miss. Torso length, sleeve range, and mobility are all sized for riding, not just standing in the lift line. Waterproofing and insulation are built in at levels that hold up through a full day of variable conditions.

Pants, Bibs & Layers That Keep Up

The bottoms lineup covers a range of fits and coverage levels. The Parker Pant, Brisk Pant, Brisk Print Pant, Teen's Keystone Pant, and Enforcer Pant give riders and parents options across waistband styles and insulation levels. For riders who want locked-in coverage through powder, tree runs, or aggressive all-mountain skiing, the Carver Bib Pant adds protection around the waist and lower back that a standard waistband can't match.

The Teen's UltraGear 1/4 Zip and Teen's UltraGear Bottom handle sweat and next-to-skin comfort as the base. Add the Banff 1/4 Zip as a midlayer and you've got a setup that holds up from first chair to last run.

Accessories That Finish the Kit

The Shoshone Beanie, Hanging Valley Beanie, and Cirque Beanie cover head warmth across different styles and fits. For hands, the Teen's Lava Glove offers dexterity for riders who need to manage gear, while the Teen's Molten Mitten prioritizes maximum warmth for cold-weather days.

How to Build the Right Setup

Start with the base: the Teen's UltraGear 1/4 Zip and Teen's UltraGear Bottom handle sweat and next-to-skin comfort. Layer the Banff 1/4 Zip over that for insulating warmth without bulk. Then pick your outer shell from the jacket lineup and pair it with whichever pant or bib fits your riding style and conditions. Everything here is sized for teen boys specifically, not shrunk-down adult cuts, not stretched kids' gear. Built to hold up through a full season and show up ready for the next one.

Frequently Asked Questions

What ski jackets are made for teen boys? +

Ski jackets for teen boys are cut longer in the torso and sized for a growing frame, with options like the Obermeyer Gage Jacket and Ryder Jacket designed specifically for that fit. Look for waterproof ratings, insulation weight, and adjustable cuffs.

What should teen boys wear under a ski jacket? +

A moisture-wicking base layer is the right starting point for warmth without bulk under a ski jacket. The Obermeyer Teen's UltraGear 1/4 Zip is built as a performance underlayer that moves with activity and manages sweat during high-output skiing.

Are bib pants or regular pants better for teen boys skiing? +

Bib pants offer better snow protection around the waist and lower back. The Obermeyer Carver Bib Pant is built for that use case, while the Parker Pant and Enforcer Pant work well for teens who prefer a standard waistband fit.

What gloves or mittens are warmest for teen boys in cold weather skiing? +

Mittens generally retain more heat than gloves, making them the warmer choice for cold-weather skiing. The Obermeyer Teen's Molten Mitten is designed for cold conditions, while the Teen's Lava Glove offers a warmer-than-average option for teens who need more dexterity on the mountain.

How do I choose the right ski pants for a teenage boy? +

The right ski pants depend on fit, waterproofing, and whether a bib or standard waist style suits his skiing level and conditions. Obermeyer's teen boys pant lineup includes the Brisk Pant, Teen's Keystone Pant, and Enforcer Pant, covering a range of fits and insulation levels to match different preferences.
