Aquaguard® Waterproof Zippers

The new tooth design on the YKK® Aquaguard Vislon® zipper provides enhanced fluid resistance vs. standard coil and individual element closures while increasing the number of design options for your application.
Recco®
Being prepared for changing conditions is a huge part of skiing and one of the most unexpected events that skiers can encounter is an avalanche. Since its launch in 1973 the RECCO® Rescue System has become the standard bearer in avalanche search and rescue technology. Obermeyer integrates RECCO® technology in our products.
Interior Feature Array
Our Interior Feature Array includes a full complement of essential features to keep you comfortable, connected and adaptable. Fully functional features include a breathable mesh google pocket with a detachable soft goggle cloth. The electronics bundle is fully configured to accommodate a wide variety of mobile devices with a built-in wire port, cord routing port with a secure zippered pocket. The detachable Snap-Away™ powder skirt is fully integrated, water-resistant, with stretch panel for a snug and comfortable fit, and secured interior pockets keep your valuables safe and dry.
Material Science
The quest for the sourcing of fabrics, laminates, and membranes is an ongoing process as improvements in material technology continue to increase performance every day. We take great care in determining the best fabric for its suppleness and durability based on each product's needs. We invest time and energy to evaluate how a fabric accepts our HydroBlock™ lamination and the latest in water-resistant coating, and how we can make these decisions with the planet in mind.
Stretch fabrics
Whether it's 2-way or 4-way stretch technology, our stretch fabrics provide you with a superior, dynamic fit that moves with you throughout the entire day of activity on the slopes. This approach works through our different fits as well, so whether you're wearing one of our form-fitting ski suits, or a fit that's more loose and layer-able, your materials will move like they're a part of you.
Body Mapping
Our Fit Team spends countless hours using body mapping to position specific areas where insulation might vary, range of motion seaming is priority, and patterning is essential to the overall performance of the garment. 3D modeling, prototyping, and live fit sessions ensure accurate and inclusive sizing and efficient body mapping; ultimately enhancing your experience and comfort on the mountain.
CZV™ – Control Zone Ventilation
Thermal venting
Obermeyer’s CZV™- Control Zone Ventilation builds upon several of our other technologies such as waterproof breathable fabrics and weatherproof construction to bring about another level of breathability and comfort to your outdoor experience. Outdoor activities often require an elevated amount of cardio generation in cold temperatures. Thermal regulation through venting is required when the amount of heat generated by the body exceeds the ability of the fabric's breathability to diffuse body heat and moisture vapor. Our venting is designed to allow heat to escape, fresh air in to assist evaporation and an internal mesh insert to keep out the elements when open. Pit Zips, chest vents, and thigh venting are integrated into most of our garments – check your preferred style's features for CZV™. With all these features we realize just how important it is to keep you comfortable, dry and warm by moving air around your body to evacuate unwanted moisture and heat.

Waterproof Breathable Technology
The waterproofing and breathability of our products is independently tested and verified to the highest industry standards by SGS Testing Laboratories. Keeping you dry on the mountain is priority number one, but you also need to be able to let your body breathe as you go through the day.
