Aspen Fashion Week pushed the envelope again for the 2011/12 season by partnering with Bentley and SIA this season to really ramp up the quantity and quality of media in attendance. Unveiling fashion-forward current trends in ski wear, including retro-chic sweaters, color blocking in lightweight shells and vibrant clear color combinations, Obermeyer stole the show. The highlight, of course, was the ever-upbeat Klaus Sr. Obermeyer walking the runway in a new for 2012 Bing Red Down Jacket.

Linda Rodney Joins Obermeyer As National Sales Director

Sport Obermeyer (Obermeyer) brings on respected industry veteran, Linda Rodney, as the brand’s national sales director. Rodney comes most recently from Burton where she led sales for Red and Anon. Prior to Burton, Rodney was at Smith Optics, Outlook Eyewear Company, and Nordstroms.

“I am honored to begin a new chapter with a company so rich in heritage,” said Linda Rodney in a press release. “I have always been inspired by Klaus Obermeyer and look forward to being a part of the brand’s continued success.”

Rodney will be responsible for all sales and business development as well as oversee internal sales support staff within Obermeyer.

“Linda is a respected, enthusiastic and accomplished addition to the leadership team at Sport Obermeyer,” said CEO and Founder Klaus Obermeyer in a press release. “I am confident in her ability to train and motivate our sales team to excel at supporting, selling and merchandising each and every one of our dealers.”

Rodney will reside in Aspen, Colorado where Obermeyer is based.
